The PowerScore 2004 LSATs Deconstructed™
is a comprehensive, question-by-question analysis of the June,
October, and December LSATs from 2004. This book will provide
you with a detailed explanation for every question and answer
choice for the Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and
Analytical Reasoning sections from each of the three released
LSATs from 2004 – over 300 questions in all! The concepts
presented in the PowerScore 2004 LSATs Deconstructed
are representative of the techniques covered in PowerScore’s
live courses and have consistently been proven effective for
thousands of our students.
The book
also provides a detailed classification of every question
type that appeared on the released 2004 LSATs, and explains
exactly how PowerScore’s advanced techniques can be
applied to each of these questions. For Logical Reasoning,
the book covers every major reasoning concept that test takers
are likely to encounter; everything from Conditional Reasoning
to Causality to Formal Logic is addressed in depth. Comprehensive
diagrams are also provided when appropriate so that test takers
can better understand how and when to notate stimulus information
and formulate the necessary inferences. For Reading Comprehension,
the book provides a thorough analysis for all 12 passages,
referencing Main Point, Author’s Perspective, common
question indicators, and a structural, paragraph-by-paragraph
breakdown indicative of the PowerScore approach advocated
in our courses. Finally, for Logic Games, the PowerScore
2004 LSATs Deconstructed gives detailed methodology for
attacking all aspects of the games, including recognizing
game types, the proper way to represent rules, the methods
for efficiently and accurately making inferences, techniques
for solving each question, and a discussion of each answer
choice, right or wrong.
In addition,
the PowerScore 2004 LSATs Deconstructed includes the
official June, October, and December LSATs from 2004, along
with the corresponding answer keys and scoring scales. If
purchased individually these three tests would cost $24, so
the PowerScore 2004 LSATs Deconstructed is an incredible
bargain – you get $24 worth of LSATs plus full explanations
for only $29.99!

Frequently
Asked Questions top
1. Does the PowerScore 2004 LSATs Deconstructed
use real LSAT questions?
Yes, we believe using real questions is crucial for high-level
LSAT preparation. The PowerScore 2004 LSATs Deconstructed
contains 301 questions from the June, October, and December
2004 LSATs, and provides a detailed explanation for each of
these questions.
FAQ
top
2. Is the 2004 LSATs Deconstructed
just a collection of problems or will it teach me
how to do the games?
The purpose of the PowerScore 2004 LSATs Deconstructed
is to teach you how to recognize and attack the most common
types of questions that appear on the LSAT. To accomplish
this, three entire LSATs have been deconstructed with extensive
explanations of the PowerScore methodology, detailed descriptions
of the diagramming and inference-making used to solve these
questions, and a thorough analysis of the corresponding answer
choices. However, the book does reference many ideas that
are explained in far greater detail in our courses and the
two Bibles (the Logical Reasoning Bible and the Logic Games
Bible), and is therefore both an instructional tool and an
invaluable supplement to our other preparatory offerings.

3. Does the PowerScore 2004 LSATs Deconstructed
provide explanations for each answer choice or does it only
explain the questions themselves?
The PowerScore 2004 LSATs Deconstructed provides
a complete explanation for every answer choice. That is over
1500 answer choices examined in detail! For each question
on all three of the included LSATs, the question itself is
explained and then the credited answer choice and the four
non-credited answer choices are reviewed.
FAQ top
4. What is the difference between the PowerScore 2004
LSATs Deconstructed, the LSAT Logical Reasoning Bible,
the LSAT Logic Games Bible, and the Logic Games
Ultimate Setups Guide?
Again, the PowerScore 2004 LSATs Deconstructed
is designed to teach you how to recognize and attack the most
common types of questions that appear on the LSAT. These questions
are explained in great detail and every aspect relevant to
efficiently solving them is examined. However, the book does
reference many ideas that are explained in far greater detail
in our courses and the two Bibles (the Logical Reasoning
Bible and the Logic Games Bible), and is therefore
both an instructional tool and an invaluable supplement to
our other preparatory offerings.
The LSAT
Logic Games Bible is a how-to guide that explains
the methods we use to attack the Logic Games section, including
how to identify game types, how to create efficient setups,
how to make inferences, and how to solve questions. The Bible
is the essential guide for learning exactly how to conquer
the Logic Games section.
The purpose
of the Logical Reasoning Bible
is to teach you how to attack and solve every type of Logical
Reasoning question that appears on the LSAT. There are extensive
explanations of the PowerScore methodology, how-to’s
on identifying argument structure and inference-making, helpful
drills, and of course full explanations to all of the problems
in the book. The book features real LSAT questions to help
explain our approach and to provide you with practice in applying
our techniques.
The Logic
Games Ultimate Setups Guide contains the setups for
every game from 1995 through 2002 (and the exclusive book
website contains additional setups for the 2003 LSATs). This
is not a how-to guide, but a solution manual that shows you
if you are correctly applying the techniques described in
the Logic Games Bible. If you are debating between the Setups
Guide and the Logic Games Bible, buy the Logic Games Bible
first. The Ultimate Setups Guide can be purchased later to
supplement the information provided in the Games Bible.
