As a high school student, you have a full schedule after school—club meetings, sports events, homework, and a social life! PowerScore tutors will work around your schedule so that you are able to excel in all areas of your busy life. Due to scheduling conflicts and geographical considerations, many students are unable to take one of our courses or meet personally with a tutor. In response to these situations we have developed the telephone tutoring system.

Using course material selected from our SAT Courses, we discuss SAT concepts, problems, and techniques with you at your convenience. And since both the student and the instructor work off the same materials, describing the correct approach and appropriate diagramming is easy, and incredibly convenient. All domestic phone charges are included in the hourly rate. Available worldwide—international rates are an additional $10 per hour. PowerScore one-on-one SAT telephone tutoring gives students the opportunity to work individually with one of our highly qualified instructors. Our tutors are the same people that teach our classes, and every tutor has scored in the 95th percentile on a College Board-administered SAT or PSAT. Aside from being highly-skilled and experienced, every PowerScore tutor is trained and qualified to teach any and all of our methods.

Because tutoring is the most efficient way to assess individual capabilities, PowerScore telephone tutoring offers you the best chance to identify and eliminate your SAT weaknesses. Whether you need a personalized course designed for you, or you just need to work on a few concepts, we can create a tutoring experience that will address all of your SAT difficulties.

Based on your discussions and the information you provide, your tutor can design a lesson plan based on your specific needs. Whether you are having trouble with critical reading, math, or writing, our instructors have mastered each of these sections and can help you do the same. If you are not sure what your needs are but know you must to improve your score, our instructors can help you identify your SAT strengths and weaknesses by going through real SATs or discussing pertinent concepts that will help them identify the root causes of your SAT troubles. Unlike other companies who require you to follow a pre-set tutoring lesson plan that may not fit your needs, our tutors will develop a plan tailored to your needs in order to provide you with the most efficient path to scoring well.

The majority of tutoring is done with College Board’s The Official Study Guide for the SAT and PowerScore SAT Course Materials. When you first speak with your tutor, he or she will recommend materials that will provide you with the most organized and productive plan to help you reach your goal. Tutoring packages of ten or more hours include our SAT Course Materials and College Board’s The Official Study Guide for the SAT, our preferred tutoring material.

PowerScore offers SAT telephone tutoring at the rate of $70 per hour (even less for multi-hour packages). Most of our competitors do not offer this valuable service, but for comparison, examine our competitors' in-person tutoring rates, and you will see that our services are not only less expensive but far superior in quality. And, unlike other companies, we do not require you to purchase large amounts of tutoring up front. Whether you need ten hours of tutoring or just one hour, we will be able to accommodate your needs without difficulty.

Whenever you are ready to get started, simply give us a call or purchase hours online. Once we receive your tutoring request, we will have an instructor contact you within two business days from your initial request. During your preliminary conversation with your tutor, you will discuss when to speak, how long each session will last, what you would like to work on, and what materials will be necessary to make the tutoring as effective as possible. After speaking with the tutor assigned to you, if you feel like you and the tutor do not mesh for any reason, we can arrange for another tutor to work with you.

Telephone Tutoring Packages

In addition to our open-ended tutoring program, we offer several packages for students interested in 10 or more hours, and each package offers students a reduced rate from the open-ended rate of $65 per hour. In addition to a lower rate per hour for tutoring, students also receive our preferred tutoring material with each package.

PowerScore telephone tutoring packages are designed for students who know they need plenty of time with a tutor and do not want to worry about adding more hours each time they would like to work with their tutor. Whatever your specific SAT requirements may be, PowerScore has a tutoring program to help you! If you are unable to find a package that suits your needs, just give us a call and we will work with you to create a program specifically tailored to your qualifications.

• The PowerScore SAT Course Materials Package. This package contains a Lesson section and a homework set that includes extensive homework drills, questions, and analyses, as well as 8 additional new practice SATs. Domestic shipping charges included. Your instructor will use the real SATs provided to track your performance throughout the program.
• Access to PowerScore’s exclusive SAT Student Area where you can view lesson supplements, vocabulary guides, and college application guides.

• $1300, any additional hours are $60 per hour (Purchased individually, these components cost $1620. You save $320 with this package.)
• 20 hours of telephone tutoring with one of our classroom course instructors who has scored in the 95th percentile on a real, College Board-administered SAT
