1: Live Online Course Login Information

To join the class, please login to:

https://sas.elluminate.com/site/external/login/user

The option to join the class will appear 30 minutes prior to the class start time.

If you have never visited the system before, login in early so you can download the required programs and configure your audio setup. Once in the system, select Display Schedule, then select Join to enter the Live Online Classroom.

Your username and password is emailed to you two business days prior to the start of class. Please be advised that passwords are case-sensitive.

2: Blackboard Platform Setup

We use a program called Blackboard to operate the PowerScore Live Online Course. We strongly recommend that you log on to the Blackboard site prior to class. This will orient you to the platform and ensure that your computer is compatible with the program.

Note: Chrome OS and Chromebooks are not supported for use with Blackboard Collaborate web conferencing.

There are several suggestions for ensuring a smooth Blackboard session:

  • Set your Connection Speed to the Internet (after your first test the speed should be automatically set).
  • Use the Audio Setup Wizard to test your speakers.
  • Be sure to join class at least 5 to 10 minutes prior to the start time.
  • Participate in the session by responding to polls and providing feedback to the Instructor.
  • Raise your hand (using hand raise icon) when you have a question or a comment.
  • Use Chat to send text messages to other participants and the moderator during the session.
  • Remember that running other applications on your computer can slow your connection to the Live Online Classroom.

3: Blackboard Technical Support

If you are having difficulty specifically with the Blackboard platform, you can contact Blackboard Technical Support at 877-382-2293 > Option One > Option One, or use the Blackboard Support Portal.

4: To View Archived Sessions

To access the archived sessions from your course, log in to the Blackboard system with your user name and password (via https://sas.elluminate.com/site/external/login/user ) and follow these simple steps:

  • Click on the "My Recordings" tab at the top of the screen.
  • Set the date range to include the date(s) of the session(s) you would like to review.
  • Click "View the Recordings" and a list of all archives for that date range will appear.
  • Finally, click the purple "Play" button next to the session that you would like to review and a new browser window will launch with the archived session.

  • 5: Powerscore Student Portal & Online Student Center

    Upon your original registration as a student with PowerScore you were given or created login information for the PowerScore Student Portal. If you do not recall your login information, use the "Reset Password" function on the Portal login page, and you will receive an email containing a temporary password. Your username is typically the email address to which this email was sent. Within the PowerScore Student Portal you will find information about your account with PowerScore, as well as access to the PowerScore Online Student Center.

    The Online Student Center contains a wealth of valuable course supplements. We strongly recommend that you read and use all of this material during your preparation.

    Please take a moment at your earliest convenience to log on to the Student Portal and visit the Online Student Center to familiarize yourself with the available content.

    To access the Online Student Center:

    1. Login to the PowerScore Student Portal.
    2. Click on the "My Enrollments" tab at the top of the screen.
    3. Click the link under "Online Student Center Access".

    Troubleshooting For Viewing Virtual Modules On The Online Student Center

    Note: Does not apply to lecture recordings from your live course.

    In some instances, your version of Java may not be compatible with the Virtual Modules on the Online Student Center. If you experience difficulty when loading a Virtual Module, simply make the following adjustments to your Java settings:

    For a PC:

  • Go to control panel.
  • Open Java (you may need to search for it).
  • Click the Security tab.
  • Edit Site List.
  • Click Add.
  • Add the sites https://na-downloads.elluminate.com and https://www.elluminate.com.
  • Click OK.

  • For a Mac:

  • Click on Apple icon on upper left of screen.
  • Go to System Preferences.
  • Click on the Java icon to access the Java Control Panel.
  • In the Java Control Panel, click on the Security tab.
  • Adjust the bar to select the desired Security level.
  • Click Apply.
